for the 2018/19 Season
The A21 Academy Prep School is excited to welcome Valentin Tarasenko to the Class of 2019.

A member of the Novosibirsk U18 team the past two seasons in the elite Russian Junior league, Val was a former teammate of Alex Makarevich who played with A21 Prep this past season and the younger brother of St. Louis Blues Vladimir. “This is a huge signing for our program and we can’t thank NHL agent, Alexey Dementyev, enough with his help and trust in our program at A21 Academy. To sign a player of Val’s calibre will help us reach our goal next season to be a Top 30 ranked prep schools in Canada”, said Head Coach Robb Serviss. Val will be training in St.Louis with his older brother in August and arrive in Windsor September 1st to start the school year. A21 Academy Prep has a 10-month full-time hockey program in conjunction with higher academics. The team plays in the PSHF (Prep School Hockey Federation) and the newly formed MPHL (Michigan Prospects Hockey League) as well as top ranked US Prep schools such as Gilmour Academy and Lake Forest Academy. A 68-game schedule and 300+ on-ice practice hours along with daily academics. “Zemzer and Tarasenko, our two Russian centres will definitely give us strength up the middle this coming season. We have 12 returning student-athletes with a year of Prep School hockey experience which should make us much stronger. We are very busy with recruitment and hope to strengthen the lineup with a few more very talented players. "I definitely know how Toronto Maple Leaf GM, Kyle Dubas felt last week!” smiles Serviss. |
