Assistant Coach - Greg Day
Coach Day joins A21 after spending the 2015-16 season as an Assistant Coach with the Windsor Spitfires Bantam Major AAA.
Coach Day is tailor-made for the A21 Academy program. He played in 6 different countries in Europe and understands the demand of high academics and elite development play as Captain in NCAA Division 1 team, the Bowling Green State Falcons.
Prior to coaching, Day played 2 seasons professionally in the AHL before moving to Europe for a 12-year Pro career playing in Austria, Switzerland, Norway, France, Italy and Yugoslavia.
He started his career as a student athlete at Bowling Green State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Education. Day was named Captain at BGSU in his senior year of NCAA Division 1 hockey.
Assistant Coach - Todd Latreille
Coach Latreille joins A21 Academy to round out the bench on both the U16 and U18 Teams.
A Windsor native, Coach Latreille imparts his supportive and positive attitude to the game and is adamant about character development; spending time with each player to bring out best effort in all aspects of the development process.
15 years coaching experience Including 2 years as Head Coach with Windsor AAA, Assistant Coach with the Belle River Canadians and many years coaching spring/summer leagues.
10 years experience operating/instructing camps and clinics for skill development.
Played 17 years including 2 years with the Belle River Canadians as Captain with honours of MVP, Most Dedicated and Coaches Award.
Coach Latreille has a Diploma in Business and Law Enforcement and currently works as a Correctional Officer with The Ministry of Correctional Services.
