Training & Technology
Having the latest in technology is one thing, but applying it to actual performance and improvement takes additional skill sets. That is why PowerTech has a team of well-experienced trainers who work hard to bring world class results to the players who take part in various programs.
Andy Paquette, Owner/Director of PowerTech Hockey Group has 4 years playing experience in the OHL for the Sudbury Wolves and Hamilton Steelhawks. Internationally, he has played in the World Under 17 Championships, and has a variety of coaching experience including the Sudbury Wolves of the OHL. Specializing in stick handling, power skating and team concepts, Andy previously was the owner and director of Powerpoint Performance Hockey in addition to 12 years as head instructor at Sports North Hockey.
Andy has worked throughout Canada and United States as well as Finland and Sweden. He has earned the respect to work with the likes of Igor Larinov, Krys Draper, Bryan Smolinski, and many more professionals, junior and college players. With a never ending pursuit of excellence, Andy consults regularly with doctors in sports medicine, sports psychiatry, NHL/OHL coaches managers, scouts and NHL Agents.
Andy has also been honoured to be a guest speaker to many organizations in the area of skill development and fitness for hockey including speaking engagements with the Ontario Hockey League as well as acting as an advisor to many elite level players. In June 2011, Andy was invited to Moscow to conduct skills sessions for two weeks at The Igor Larionov Pathway to Success Development Camp. This was an invitation only for top Russian and European players born 1995-1997.
